My I POD Touch 4G (8gb) became dead when i give my ipod to the shop to jailbreak I was using the IOS 6 , After that my Ipod became dead and it was not even charging . I thought my Ipod is useless, When i was putting my ipod touch 4g into charging it was not showing anything.
When i connect my Ipod with the computer , iTune displayed Ipod is in Recovery Mode , Then i thought my i pod is not dead so i try restore in itune after downloading the firmware from server then it start restore phase after few minutes the itune give me the error "1394". the ipod remain same as before i check the firmware the itune was downloading was 5.1.1 but my firmware was on ipod was IOS 6 .
I download Redsn0w win_0.9.15b3 , The redsnow was showing the DFU mode so select jailbreak and then after few minutes redsnow showed "key.plist" was missing but i find some screen flash in my ipod , i was little happy that i make it flashing then again it became same as dead , so i disconnect and then try doing Recovery fix option in Redsn0w after few steps my the number being displayed in my ipod tough 4g , i was happy that i have fixed but after that it show message that please "please Slide to power off the Try in the Normal Mode" so i switch it off by holding "POWER button + HOME button ". my ipod became off and then i try jailbreak again then this time it did not say "KEY.PLIST" missing then been done and displayed rest the process will be made on Ipod , my ipod made some number and then again same message please Slide to power off the Try in the Normal Mode . Again i try recovery same thing happen , then i try again jailbreak but this time no message of please side to power off but pineapple was displayed and after pineapple it is automatically switch off . then again i try recovery but recovery failed as before. After that i try jail break but this time jail break was successfully done , in computer and also in IPOD touch then IPod is turned off . Then i select just boot option in Redsn0w , My Ipod start working but i can only unlock keypad after that it was blank , but i almost done 70% that time , i was quite happy . But when i powered off the ipod then i became same , so every time i open i have to select just boot option in redsn0w.
I download the latest version of the itune which support the latest firmware from the web. Then i download the Firmware IPOD TOUCH 4G 6.1_10B144_Restore . after the firmware downloaded and new itune is installed.
I open the itune and my ipod was switched off then i Press SHIFT then click on RESTORE. then it was asking me the firmware file , i select the firmware and press open. After few minutes the firmware is done and Apple logo is displayed in my IPOD and loader in the bottom after it finished IPOD start working 100% now i can powered off and turn it on no problem .... Finally i was successful ..
Note : I was using windows so i press Shift , i think Mac you have to press option
Note : in all the process internet was turned on . you need internet to process .
